Un accident d'une rare violence s'est produit, ce matin vers 5h du matin, sur la route nationale n•1 à hauteur de "Allou Kagne" entre Pout et Thiès. Le bilan provisoire fait état de 16 morts et plusieurs blessés. D'après la Rfm, il s'agit d'un bus de transport public de 70 places en partance pour le Camou de Mpal (Saint-Louis) qui est entré en collision avec un camion frigorifique avant de finir sa course sur un arbre.
Les corps sans vie et les blessés ont été acheminés à l'hôpital régional de Thiés.
