Le service départemental de l’élevage et des productions animales de Kaolack a entamé une vaste opération pour sauver les populations contre les chiens errants sur le territoire communal.
« Depuis quelque temps, des cas de morsures, et des menaces ont été notées dans certains quartiers. Et cette opération devait être faite depuis longtemps, avec la mairie. Mais techniquement, c’était impossible avec la l’hivernage et les flaques d’eau, les chiens empoisonnés pouvant contaminer les zones.
Les points de rencontres ont été ciblées comme les trois marchés centrales de Kaolack, les abattoirs, entre autres », a soutenu Cheikh Amadou Bamba Beye du service départementale de l’élevage et des productions animales.
