Une semaine de plus sans cours à Ziguinchor. Dans un communiqué rendu public ce mercredi 17 mai, L’Inspection d’Académie de Ziguinchor porte à la connaissance de la communauté éducative de la région de Ziguinchor que les cours sont suspendus sur l’étendue de la région dans les écoles, établissements et centres de formation professionnelle, du Vendredi 19 mai 2023 à partir de 8 heures au jeudi 25 mai 2023 à 8 heures.
Avant une accalmie notée ces dernières heures, la capitale du Sud a été le théâtre de violents affrontements entre les partisans du maire de Ziguinchor, Ousmane Sonko, aux forces de l’ordre. Les heurts ont fait au moins trois morts entre Dakar et Ziguinchor.
Le blocus se poursuit. Massés devant le domicile de leur leader, des Pastefiens ont érigé des barricades contre l’exfiltration de l’opposant qui devait comparaître hier mardi devant la chambre criminelle dans l’affaire Sweet Beauty l’opposant à l’ex-masseuse Adji Sarr, qui l’accuse de viols répétés et menaces de mort. L’audience a été renvoyée sous huitaine au 23 mai prochain.
À Ziguinchor, les élèves regagneront les classes deux jours après.
Dans la soirée de ce mercredi, Ousmane Sonko est apparu en public et s’est offert un bain de foule après être resté plusieurs jours chez lui sans sortir.
