Pour faire face à ce qu’elle appelle une campagne de liquidation de la candidature du leader de Pastef, Ousmane Sonko, la coalition Yewwi Askan Wi (YAW) va descendre dans la rue, le 19 mai prochain. L’annonce a été faite ce mardi, lors d'une conférence de presse, par Khalifa Sall.
"J’appelle tout le monde pour contester la condamnation lourde d’Ousmane Sonko. Personne ne peut être d’accord sur cette décision pour éliminer un troisième potentiel candidat", lance-t-il.
Les leaders de YAW veulent organiser une manifestation internationale pour dire non à la condamnation de Sonko à six mois avec sursis et 200 millions F CFA de dommages et intérêts.
Selon l'ancien maire de Dakar, les membres de la coalition Yewwi vont, dans l’unité, faire face aux agissements de la mouvance présidentielle.
"Nous sommes une famille, un groupe d’amis et que personne ne pense que nous allons nous séparer. Ensemble, nous pouvons traverser toutes les péripéties. Et Ousmane Sonko a toujours été l’un des acteurs de notre lutte. Ensemble, nous allons nous battre pour que cette campagne de liquidation de candidat à la Présidentielle 2024 ne passe pas", ajoute-t-il.
