Le pape émérite Benoît XVI, théologien allemand dont la renonciation en 2013 avait pris le monde entier par surprise, est mort samedi matin à l’âge de 95 ans, a annoncé le Vatican.
"J’ai la douleur de vous annoncer que le pape émérite, Benoît XVI, est décédé aujourd’hui à 09H34, au Monastère Mater Ecclesiae, au Vatican. D'autres informations vous seront communiquées dès que possible", a annoncé dans un communiqué le directeur du service de presse du Saint-Siège, Matteo Bruni.
