Le cinéaste Bouna Médoune Sèye est décédé ce mercredi à Paris, des suites d’une maladie. La Rfm donne l’information. Le cinéaste sénégalais est également photographe, peintre, réalisateur, directeur artistique, scénariste et producteur.
L’artiste né à Dakar, âgé de 61 ans, a fait ses études en France à Marseille, avant de s’installer à Dakar. Bouna Médoune Sèye a photographié pendant cinq ans les fous et les laissés-pour-compte qui habitent les trottoirs de Dakar.
Il débute dans le cinéma en tant que directeur artistique. Il a collaboré à la réalisation de différents films et documentaires dont « Set setal Dakar » de Moussa Sene Absa. Il tourne en 1992, son premier film court-métrage, « Bandits Cinéma », et s’oriente vers la réalisation cinématographique. Il a fait plusieurs expositions.
Par le passé, Bouna a été marié à l’ancienne présentatrice du JT de la télévision nationale, RTS, Minielle Barro Sèye.
