La présidente de l’Alliance nationale pour la démocratie "And Saxal Liguey", Aïda Mbodj va faire le tour du pays pour briguer le suffrage de plus de 7 millions d'électeurs sénégalais. Elle a été investi hier, dimanche candidate par ses militants. "J’accepte et déclare solennellement ma candidature à la présidentielle de 2024 sous la bannière de l’Alliance nationale pour la démocratie And Saxal Liguey", a-t-elle déclaré. La lionne du Baol et Cie considèrent que cette candidature entre dans l’histoire tout en s’inspirant des valeurs cardinales. Elle évoque les axes de son programme qui " tournent autour de la restauration de l’État de droit et de la démocratie, la restructuration de l’économie, de la dimension environnementale et développement ainsi que l’aspect sécuritaire". Sur la situation actuelle du pays Aïda Mbodj a prié pour le repos de l'âme des personnes décédées lors des manifestations au Sénégal et un prompt rétablissement aux blessés. Elle a plaidé pour la libération des détenus politiques et la levée le blocus chez Ousmane Sonko. Qui selon elle "est une chance de la démocratie sénégalaise et l’opinion a fini d’être édifiée sur la relation entre Ousmane Sonko et moi".
