La direction du Centre des Œuvres Universitaires de Dakar (Coud) s’est fendu d’un communiqué après la « circulation d’une information dans les réseaux sociaux annonçant le décès d’un individu à l’Université Cheikh Anta DIOP au courant de cette journée. »
La direction du COUD tient à préciser, après vérification, que son service médical n’a enregistré aucun cas de décès, souligne le document.
L’Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (Ucad) a été le théâtre de violents affrontements, ce jeudi, 1er juin, après la condamnation de l’opposant Ousmane Sonko à deux (2) ans de prison ferme pour « corruption de jeunesse ».
Parmi les dégâts, le Centre d’études des sciences et techniques de l’information (Cesti) a été attaqué. Le bus brûlé ainsi que le bâtiment baptisé au nom de Eugénie Rokhaya Aw, l’une des toutes premières journalistes et spécialistes de la communication au Sénégal, et ancienne directrice du Cesti de 2005 à 2011. Sans oublier le chapiteau de la Faculté de Droit.
