La cérémonie s’est déroulée au Musée des civilisations noires en présence du président du Cnoss, M. Mamadou Diagna Ndiaye, des présidents de fédérations sportives ainsi que du 12e Gaïndé.
M. Bâ a profité de l’occasion pour galvaniser l’équipe du capitaine Mbagnick Ndiaye pour qu’elle fasse mieux qu’Amadou Diaba en 88.
Les Jeux olympiques d’été de 2020 sont les deuxièmes Jeux d’été organisés par Tokyo, Japon, après ceux de 1964. Initialement prévus du 24 juillet au 9 août 2020, les Jeux olympiques doivent se tenir du 23 juillet au 8 août 2021.
